The nitty gritty

  • We have a bore hole for water = no showers and festival style toilets.
  • We are a 'child-free' campsite. Under 18's are permitted in the farm-shop and canalside area. The camping areas are designated 'quiet zones' between 11pm & 6am.
  • Visitors are permitted with prior approval and must leave site by 8pm.
  • The Pig Place is ridge and furrow land sloping gently down to the canal, chocks may be required.  If you have doubts about accessibility, please ask.
  • We allow camp fires in our canalside firepit areas and we sell logs and kindling in our farm shop. BBQ's are permitted in the camping fields but MUST be elevated.
  • Anyone damaging the site or spoiling other people's enjoyment of The Pig Place will be made to leave site immediately and refunds will not be given.
  • Refunds are not offered for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
  • REMEMBER - THE PIG PLACE IS A WORKING SMALLHOLDING WITH FREE-RANGE POULTRY AND LIVESTOCK. ESSENTIAL CAMPING REQUIREMENTS ARE COMMON SENSE AND A SENSE OF HUMOUR :@)
