The rustic adults-only, dog friendly campsite in Adderbury, near Banbury - perfect for grown-ups who love countryside calm, canal-side views and the occasional questionable decision made after three ciders.
If you're searching for "adults-only campsite in Oxfordshire," "dog-friendly camping near Banbury," or "campsite with bar and music," congratulations - you've found the holy trinity.

(no kids, no chaos, no Peppa Pig).
(no kids, no chaos, no Peppa Pig).

We're a rustic, eccentric, adults-only campsite in Adderbury, near Banbury, built on the belief that life is better with good food, good music, good dogs and a pint or two.
Humans are welcome too, as long as they behave.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
The Pig Place - rustic, relaxed and slightly ridiculous.

Perfect for tents, campervans, motorhomes and anyone who enjoys waking up to the sound of pigs snuffling in the distance.
We offer:

Trotters Bar - Where Legends are Born
Trotters Bar is the beating heart of the campsite. It's where stories begin, friendships form and someone, inevitably, tries to adopt a pig after their third pint.

Because "The Slightly chaotic Adults Only rustic campsite with pigs, pints and perfect punters Nr Banbury" wouldn't fit on the sign.
Also, we have pigs. Real ones. They are the only ones who behave consistently.
Didn't have them in 2025 as our local abattoir closed and we had to suspend our rare breed breeding program.
We're delighted to say that we will have a few pigs arriving in Spring 2026.
Yes. 18+ only for camping
No kids, no toddlers, no babes in arms, no teenagers.
No inflatable unicorns being dragged across the field at 6am.
Just peace, quiet and the occasional adult behaving like a child after three ciders.
Under 18's are tolerated at The Saucy Hound café, outside seating areas and shop until 6pm - after that they may turn into a pumpkin and be eaten by the pigs - or parents can take them home.
No.
Not even if they're quiet.
Not even if they're asleep.
Not even if they "look 18".
If they can legally buy me a pint at the bar then they are welcome :@)
Yes. We're popular.
Peeps like you love our rustic, adults-only camping with pigs, pints and personable punters.
Book early to avoid disappointment and having to sleep in your car in some layby.
That being said, we do sometimes have last minute availability. So for a spur of the moment last minute get away because the sun has come out , send us a WhatsApp or call 0789 287 9447.
Yes - within our rules and our firepits.
We like fire.
We don't like accidental arson and as much as we love our local fire station crew we don't want to see them here in a professional capacity.
You are welcome to use the firepits next to the canal, however campfires in the camping fields are not permitted.
You are welcome to BBQ in the camping fields as long as your BBQ is well elevated and does not burn the grass for the next camper.
Absolutely. We pride ourselves on being a dog-friendly campsite near Banbury.
They're practically royalty in our eyes.
Dogs are very welcome, but MUST be on a lead at all times
- aside from in the 'off-lead' area.
We do not charge for dogs to stay, nor do we limit the number that you bring. However, your dog is your responsibility and if they decide to be a bother to other campers you may be asked to leave.
Nope.
Nor will we be getting them as we are not on the mains water supply and use a bore hole. The water is filtered, fabulous and tested as suitable for drinking but we cannot run out, so we do not have showers.
Naturally we have toilets - of the portable variety. And we ask peeps to consider their fellow camper and 'leave no trace'.
Nope.
A case of the few spoiling it for the many. After discovering tent campers using fan heaters to attempt to heat Oxfordshire we have had to remove this option.
We do offer phone/tablet charging in the shop for a small fee.
Imagine a small livestock trailer that has been converted into a kitchen.
Now add bacon, banter and breakfasts big enough to frighten a nutritionist.
That's The Saucy Hound - for great food and chilled vibes.
Assuming that it is a day busy enough to open - it all depends on you.
Late enough to have a good time (licensed until 11pm) but early enough that you won't regret your entire existence the next morning.
That being said, if you disappear early then so will we.
Loud enough to enjoy.
Not loud enough to summon the police.
Think, "rustic festival vibes," not "Glastonbury main stage".
Adderbury, Banbury. Just by Nell Bridge Lock on The Oxford Canal.
If you've hit Oxford, you've gone too far.
If you've hit Birmingham, you've gone way too far.
If you've hit the pigs, you've gone too close :@)
WHAT THREE WORDS - CLEANS/PUZZLED/GREYHOUND

We are currently open for camping (ground conditions permitting).
Please call or WhatsApp to book.

IF YOU HAVE, THEN 'THANK YOU' FOR CONSIDERING COMING BACK TO US AGAIN.
WE SUGGEST READING OUR WEBPAGE AS THERE ARE A FEW CHANGES FOR 2025.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU SOON.
