THE BIBLICAL WEATHER HAS BEATEN US...

WHAT A SAD END TO OUR SEASON.

LIKE SO MANY HOSPITALITY BUSINESSES WE ARE EFFECTED BY THE WEATHER, THE MONSOON RAIN MEANS WE ARE UNABLE TO WELCOME PEEPS TO OUR OUTDOOR CAFE NOR ALLOW CAMPING ON THE GRASS.

Winter moorings and Long Term Park-up's

We're delighted to be able to offer winter moorings for narrowboats and long term hardstanding pitches for campervans and motorhomes etc.

Grass pitch, rate includes up to 2 adults - additional adults in a unit are chargeable. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT HAVE ELECTRIC HOOK-UP TENT PITCHES. If you need to charge electrical equipment we can offer this for a nominal charge.

WE ARE A VERY SMALL SITE AND HAVE TO RESTRICT THE NUMBER OF LARGE UNITS. ELECTRIC HOOK UP: DUE TO ASTRONOMICAL ELECTRICITY PRICES WE ARE ENCOURAGING CAMPERS NOT TO HAVE EHU. PLEASE USE GAS FOR YOUR FRIDGE & HEATING AND SAVE MONEY. IF YOU NEED TO CHARGE BATTERIES WE CAN OFFER THIS FOR A NOMINAL CHARGE.

Whatever your requirements - from a rasher of bacon to a whole pig, visit our farm shop and we'll endeavour to assist.

Mooring - please call

Yes you can. You are welcome to use the sofas and firepits next to the canal, however campfires in the camping fields is not permitted. You are welcome to BBQ in the camping fields as long as your BBQ is well elevated 

Yes!   Dogs are very welcome, but MUST be on a lead at all times.  We sell a range of dog treats including British Pigs Ears and Doggy Ice Cream

We do not.   We are not on the mains water supply and use a bore hole.  The water is filtered and fabulous but we cannot run out, so we do not have showers.

Fishing - yes, if you are staying with us and have your own licence

SUP and Kayaking - yes, if you are staying with us

If you are a day visitor you are welcome  to use our catering facilities and bar, but not to bring your own picnic.

We are sorry but only caravans/vans and motorhomes will be allowed to hook up, if pre booked

Absolutely we do !  Ask our team in The Trough and they can discuss your requirements.

Please stop!   We have mooring for passers by and even overnight  if required  It is free to stop and use the shop, bar and cafe on a drop in basis, but if you wish to stay overnight then fees will apply.  If there is no room then tie alongside. Please call for overnight enquiries or ask in the shop

Yes we are!  Currently open for camping 7 days - all other amenities Friday - Monday inc.

The closure of our local abattoir at the end of January has meant we have had to curtail our breeding program. This means that some of the meat will be ours and some will be from other local smallholders just like us but who don't have the same point of sale that we do. On the plus side it means we have been able to introduce some beef and lamb into our range :@)
